Why not spend a little time relaxing in our large, comfortable and very peaceful 17th Century farmhouse?
Dating from the early 1600’s, the farm is situated in beautiful and unspoilt countryside with far-reaching views up to the surrounding moors. We have two double guest bedrooms - both with granite-mullioned windows looking out over the gardens, antique furniture, large and deeply comfortable beds and plenty of books to read. As we have only one guest bathroom – large, with a luxurious claw-foot bath – we only allow one party to book at any one time.
Breakfast is a feast – organic muesli, yoghurt, fruit compote and fruit juice, local bacon, sausages and eggs, plenty of toast, chunky marmalade and jams, all accompanied by cafetieres of coffee or pots of tea, and all taken at a leisurely pace! We are always delighted for guests to explore the farm – wildlife is particularly abundant around our two small lakes with sightings of badger, otter and heron all reported. You can walk the fields, wander in 40 acres of woodland, or fish for trout from our river meadows – there is even an iron age ‘roundbury’ for the archaeologically inclined.
Charges: £70 per double room per night.
